Question by OrangeFox: How are game reviews different than movie reviews? For example, if someone saw a movie critics hated, then it’s no problem. Yet if a game gets a bad or mediocre review, everyone makes a big deal about it (at least what I’ve seen online). How exactly is an opinion on a game different than opinions on movies? Is it wrong to like a “bad game” and have a different opinion about it (example, say it’s good)? Best answer:

I see what you’re saying. I just listen to game reviews more than movie reviews because I ALWAYS disagree with movie critics and have found that 9/10 of the time I agree with game reviewers

Question by Michael: Who would be willing to let me write video game reviews for them? I’m 17, and people tell me I am a great writer. When i have free time, i play a video game. I want to bank off of this and write reviews. This would mean a little more income (i hope) and a great thing to put on paper when applying for universities or jobs. the problem is, I can’t seem to get pointed in the right direction to put this idea into play. any suggestions? Newspapers often have reviews of certain different things. Perhaps you could try asking at your local paper, and see if they would be willing to pay you to write gaming reviews for them. Kids’ magazines also have reviews of games. If you know of any that are based in your local area, you could ask them. Try these, and good luck!
